Why Are Poker Chips In Cases Often Sold With 5 Dice ?

I got this set of poker chips for christmas in this neat little suitcase. There's 2 decks of cards, chips, buttons, that makes sense for poker. But the five dice ? What are they for ? And it appears most poker chip sets are sold with dice. What for ?
